Pulse considerations
In devices that transmit or switch a high current in short bursts, a Li-SOCl₂ cell can show a voltage drop during the pulse. Whether a single cell is sufficient, or an ER + capacitor configuration is needed, depends on the peak current, pulse duration, pulse frequency, temperature and the device's cut-off voltage.
